Dr. Parvathi U. Iyer is the Principal Director of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (FEHI) in New Delhi, which hosts one of India's busiest pediatric cardiac programs.
She is a pioneer in Pediatric cardiac critical care. In 1995, she played a significant role in establishing the pediatric program, the first integrated initiative in India to include an intensivist.
She completed her medical education at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
She underwent training in Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.
