Dr. (Prof.) Digvijay Sharma has more than 21 years of experience in vascular surgery and interventions.
His expertise includes carotid surgery aimed at preventing strokes, advanced aortic surgical procedures, limb salvage, and reducing the risk of amputations.
He also participates in dialysis access clinics, which focus on creating, maintaining, and restoring dialysis access. Additionally, he oversees venous clinics that address varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
To date, he has successfully conducted over 10000 surgeries.
Dr. Sharma earned his MBBS from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, in 1992.
He received an MS in general surgery from Barkatulla University, Bhopal 1997.
He then completed further training in vascular surgery at the Singapore General Hospital Postgraduate Medical Institute.
He is a life member of several organizations, including the Nepal Medical Association, Surgical Society of Nepal, European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Nepal Cleft Lip and Palate Association, Cancer Society of Nepal, Association of Surgeons of India, and Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of India.
He is recognized as an accredited instructor by the Primary Trauma Care Foundation.
In 2007, he was honored as one of the ten Outstanding Young Persons of Nepal Medal in recognition of his contributions to medical science.
